James, RYT 200

James has been in and around yoga and meditation since he was a teenager in the Nineties.
In 2012, he took a deeper dive into yoga practice after nearly ‘going off the deep end’ when he experienced an overwhelming series of life events.
Realizing he needed a consistent practice to ground the connection between mind, body, and spirit, he was drawn to attend classes at his local yoga studio on Orcas Island, WA.
He then discovered Prajna Yoga through his primary teacher, Djuna Devereux. He initially enrolled in a teacher training course taught by Djuna as a way to deepen his personal practice, but found the Prajna approach to yoga so inspiring that he knew he wanted to keep on that path and eventually become a teacher.
James completed the 200hr teacher training through Tias & Surya Little’s Prajna Yoga school (based in Santa Fe, New Mexico) at the end of 2017.
Off the mat, James spends time in Nature with his family and seeks the teachings that can be found in the wild as well as in the garden. He weaves these found illuminations throughout his classes in hope of supporting others along their path.
